Introduction

Leeds City Council has completed the first stage of the Garforth Community Governance Review and considered all consultation responses, evidence and information received.

Based on this consideration, the Council's draft recommendation is:

That a parish and parish council should not be established for Garforth.

The purpose of this Stage 2 survey is to seek views on the draft recommendation and whether you agree with that assessment or whether you consider there is any other reasoning that should cause the Council to reach a different conclusion before final recommendations are prepared. 

Respondents are encouraged to read the following documents before completing the survey:

• Appendix A - Garforth survey report
• Appendix B - Garforth email representations
• Appendix C - Garforth consultation evaluation

This is a public consultation, not a referendum. The Council will consider all relevant responses received before making a final recommendation.

Please do not submit evidence already provided. Only new evidence and comments in respect of the draft recommendation and / or how the Council has assessed the evidence are being invited.
