Animal Boarding Consultation Questionnaire

Like all councils up and down the country, Leeds City Council is facing significant financial challenges. Inflation and the cost-of-living crisis have driven up our costs, and we’re continuing to experience huge increases in demand for our services, especially those that support some of the city’s most vulnerable people.  We have continued to protect frontline services as much as possible but the scale of the pressures on our financial position is unprecedented.

To meet this challenge, we are exploring every possible option to ensure that we can continue to provide vital services to those that need them.

One element we are seeking to change is around recovering the costs the Council incurs for animal boarding when pet owners experience unplanned hospital admissions.  We would like to hear your thoughts and feedback on our proposal that would see pet owners cover the costs of animal boarding for their pets in the future. Your feedback will inform how we plan to move forward on this proposal.

This survey should take about 10 minutes to complete and the last day you can respond is Friday 13th September 2024.  Your feedback is important to us and we will review every response we receive.

Thank you for taking part.
