Tenant Survey: Social Housing Stigma

0%

Introduction

The Tenant Scrutiny Board (TSB) is a group of tenants who review housing services and represent tenants' interests. The TSB has chosen social housing stigma as its next area of focus.

Social housing stigma refers to the negative judgements people can face because they live in council housing. This stigma can affect how people feel about themselves, how they are treated by others, and their interactions with us, other services and in wider life.
For example, assuming you’ll be at home for a repair or not telling people you live in a council home so you don’t feel judged.

We know that experiences vary. Your feedback will help us understand tenant's experiences and views and put together our first Action Plan to help tackle stigma.
