Application for a member of the Yorkshire and Humber Hong Kong Advisory Panel

Migration Yorkshire, which is leading on the Hong Kong Welcome Programme in Yorkshire and Humber is looking for up to 20 individuals from Hong Kong, who have arrived in the region via the British National Oversees (BNO) visa route, to be part of the Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H) Hong Kong Advisory Panel (Y&H HKAP).

The aim of the Yorkshire and Humber Hong Kong Advisory Panel is primarily to represent the views and concerns of new arrivals from Hong Kong and offer lived experience insights to strengthen the planning and focus of the HK Welcome Programme in Yorkshire and Humber, including what projects and events we run and how we run them. We would like the panel to be diverse and represent a broad range of experiences and contributions.

This role:
  • will require a time commitment of between 2 and 4 hours a month
  • might involve public speaking and media engagement
  • might require travel within the region, and occasionally nationally

This is voluntary and unpaid opportunity. Migration Yorkshire will cover any expenses associated with performing your role (such as travel or training) and we will offer you relevant training, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and references.
