The Leeds Compassionate City Awards celebrate the individuals, community groups and organisations who make a positive difference every day—helping make our city a better place to live, work and visit.

Nominations are open until Friday 25th September, so now is the time to recognise someone making an impact. You can nominate a person, group or organisation across nine award categories.

The 2026 Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday 25th November.

Eligibility requirements

The criteria for the Compassionate City Awards are as follows:

  • Projects or activities should have taken place within the last 12 months.
  • Nominees must have made a positive impact on people living within the Leeds boundary.
  • To ensure fairness and recognise new contributions, previous winners from the last two years are not eligible.
  • Nominations should be submitted by others; we kindly ask that individuals and organisations do not nominate themselves.

Please note that nominations are assessed on the quality and clarity of the information provided, rather than the number of nominations received for an individual or organisation.
